- Asphalt_CowboyExplorerThanks all! Turns out the problem was some aftermarket wiring a previous owner put in

On the center area of the instrument cluster of the dash or on the center cluster where AC/Radio controls are, there is a Button that says MOM/AUX. It is a 3 position switch. Center is neutral. Pushing the MOM is spring loaded and when released goes back to Neutral center position. THAT is you emergency start. Pushing it to AUX will stay in the AUX position. THAT engages the solenoid to charge both battery banks. It is only active when the Ignition key is ON. So, most RV'ers leave it in the AUX position all the time. - Asphalt_CowboyExplorerThank you for the info. I will look for the battery control center. O looked at the link and possibly my chassis battery is the issue? It doesn't seem to go above 13.3 volts. The charge does so I'm not sure if we're talking about the charge voltage with the engine running (over 14 volts) of the actual battery voltage after the engine is turned off (12.5) volts
someone else replied on another forum that most RV's don't do what I'm thinking mine should, but my manual said otherwise? - MrWizardModeratoryou can download complete wiring diagrams from winniebago
you will need the year and the exact model# of your RV
to Dl the specific file - Here is link to Intellitec Battery control center.Battery control center
There is another on from RV Custom products. I have on disc
You should be able to go to Winnebago with you coach's info and get wiring diagrams. - Asphalt_CowboyExplorerthank you for your response. I've located the dead front you mention and there are two solenoids behind it. I know the one for the house battery shutoff works because I use that one to disconnect the house stuff when I'm away. The lights inside go out when I turn it to off.
I can't find a wiring diagram that shows which if/where the relay to charge the house batteries is, which fuse protects the solenoids and where that fuse would be located?
Thanks again! - Look for the battery control center. There should be a charge relay there. Look for make and model of charge relay.
Look adjacent to the batteries. Some have the batteries under the entry step. A metal dead front hides the battery disconnects and the charge relay.
If you have an auxilary start button on the dash, the same relay in many are the same. Operate it and have helper listen for the relay.
