An idea for a DP storage pad.

This is actually my brother's storage pad, but I make use of it.

If your land has just a bit of slope to it, build the storage pad like this which allows the rear of DP to overhang it thereby giving you a good work area to get to the fuel filters, oil pan, starter if you need to, etc. And on the other side it gives you access to work on the batteries standing up. Also good for washing out the rear radiator.

  • Gee thanks Bill!
My parking pad is like that now. My rig sits about 4 feet short of the end.
Now I'll have to get a bigger DP to make use of my pad's design! :)
(Good to know if I ever do go that direction though!)
  • Looks good. I finally had air system installed so I can arrange the coach to tilt or lean any way or bring the back up now. It has made a big difference in underside maintenance! Yours looks like a great way to work.
  • Bill, that is perfect! I was at a RV Park in Asheville, NC, that had the same set up and I was able to look under our coach so easily. It's good to know what everything looks like under there.

    MM.
  • That is pretty much what we did, except the block wall, we must be able to drive past the pad so we just sloped it off.
  • That really looks very useful. I have to drive mine to the edge of my driveway approach, but I don't get nearly that much drop. Good thinking!!
