Any regrets going from Gas to Diesel?

We have had a gas Class A and are looking at a Diesel.

Those of you have made the switch, did you have any regrets after you were in the DP?

Also, any feedback on a 2003 Fleetwood Discovery DP?

One thing on the Fleetwood, if it is important to you...
Many Fleetwood DP's did not have a raised rail chassis, and therefore do not have full passthrough storage.

You can tell if the basement doors come out with the slides = no pass through

Yes but many gas coaches, like my Monaco, do have large pass-thru storage so that is not something that is unique to DP's. If pass-thru storage is something you want, there are choices out there.

That's correct. No pass thru on mine, but the three large compartments that come out with the slide connect together for a very long single compartment if you need lengh and want to use it that way too. I bet the Discovery is the same.

I waited way too long to transition into a DP.

Maintenance takes a bit longer as now I have about
4 times as many zerk fittings to grease.

I went from diesel to gas and have no regrets so it can work both ways.

No regrets whatsoever. Went from a 37' Gulfstream Sunvoyager on a Workhorse W22 to a 40' Alpine Coach and haven't looked back once.

We definitely have no regrets. We bought our first diesel in 1992 and have had 4 diesel motorhomes since then. Last year we decided to downsize from our 41 footer. We looked at several gas Class A motorhomes, but we just couldn't go back to the gas class A and ended up purchasing a 34' diesel pusher.

No regrets. Went from a 32 ft Pace arrow to my current coach. 03 must have been a good year as my Excursion has been a great RV. More cost but no regrets.

Most people ask if there are any regrets from downgrading from Diesel to Gas. Just saying...

No regrets with our 2005 Excursion 39S with a Cat C7 and Allison. I wanted a DP and took people's advice to buy enough MH the first time instead of upgrading several times.

No regrets going from gas to diesel, back to gas, back to diesel, and now back to gas again. Each one has it's advantages and disadvantages and when I find another floor plan I like, who knows what is going to be powering it. Personally I don't care what the power plant is because I have found that each of them has gotten me to the top of any of the Western mountain highways and back down again, pulling a toad..
