Aqua Hot Issue

Well, Aqua Hot has a no heat by electric issue. Took the cover off and using the owner manual trouble shot the issue.

A ground wire broken off the relay terminal. After trying to remove three other connections two broke off.

Ordered a new relay from Aqua Hot in Colorado a week ago. Part arrived today, an entirely different plug in relay, so I called and of course they shipped the wrong one to me.

Now I wait another 3-4 days for the right one to arrive. It never fails, at least I am not going camping again till April.....

Received the correct relay from Aqua Hot today and also a newer more robust relay from Roger Berke. I used the one from Aqua Hot now and kept the newer relay for later if I need it. Installed the new relay and continued with the rest of the troubleshooting for the electric side of operation.

!2 volt and 120 volt checks were all accomplished with zero defects. Now I have a like new Aqua Hot once again. I am sure glad I have been some type of a mechanic all my life. Sure saves me a lot of labor dollars. It really has paid off during my life time.
  • If you ever need parts for your Aqua Hot system, I highly recommend you try Roger Berke. He has a website with trouble shooting guides and has helped me a couple of times.

hope this helps in the future.

  • Yeah Aqua Hot is notorious for sending wrong parts. Especially for older units.
