- John_WayneExplorer IIOn mine all I needed to do to stop the noise. The fan (motor) shaft had a little side to side movement allowing the exhaust fan wheel to hit the housing. I just loosened the exhaust fan on the shaft and holding the intake fan pushed the exhaust fan towards the motor and retightened noise stopped.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIGo to this link and read the motor remove and replace instructions on page 14 (PDF page 12). There is NO need to remove the entire furnace from your RV. I've done several of them.
- ksg5000ExplorerI have similar furnace and my fan motor sits right there when you open up the access panel - don't think you have to pull the furnace - s/b "how to" online.
My mechanic told me that many fan related problems will go away if you turn the fan on let it run for a while .. so I turned off the propane and let the furnace run for a half hour + ... squeal went away. Worth a shot. Others have had luck by a applying oil ... use the forum search feature for posts on the subject. - SCVJeffExplorer

I did it on the heater in my 85 Pace and it was a full pull.
I've ordered a new motor for the old 8535-III. I'm guessing I'll have to completely pull the unit to change? At least, that's the question. I can't tell if it's a straight forward job, or not. Any thoughts on this project? Bill
