Awning fuse questions

I have a 2007 Itasca sunova 35J. The awning stopped working. Doesn't even try to work when I push the switch. I'm unsure where the fuse is for it. I bought it used and it didn't come with all the manuals. Any help would be appreciated.
  • In the past I would hear a click or small movement from the motor when I pushed the switch. No I hear nothing at all. The wires for the switch head towards the front of the motorhome and then I lose them. I'm thinking maybe they are in the fuse box by the drivers feet. Any thoughts on the volt/amp number of the fuse so I don't have to pull out each one?
  • I would see if the motor shaft is turning for sure. I fixed or temporary repaired an 2007 awning so the folks could go home to Mi. The motor shaft was spinning but the end cap was worn and because of this nothing moved.

  • Our fuse box is on the driver side of the coach in a bay by the front wheel. I would check all the fuses, we just had a weird issue with our power windshield shades that stopped working. Come to find out, the fuse for the cigarette lighter style dash power ports is the same fuse for the shades even though there is another fuse marked "power shades".
  • My awning switch just stopped working but the awning remote works. Bad switch or wiring for the dealer to figure out.
  • I'm not familiar with your coach, but a lot of times, the control panels for them on Winnebago products is in one of the passenger side bays, especially if yours has a wind sensor. Black box with LED lights.

There is also something else to check, often on the exterior wall at one end of the awning, is a cable that plugs into the side of the coach from the awning. It has a twist on lock. Disconnect this, make sure it's clean and then reconnect. If not the issue, I'm sure someone will come along with a fuse location.
