Baffled about TV

I have 2015 Winnebago Sightseer. This model has a switch with on on/off switch, modulator for ch 3 or 4 and options for 3 sets for sat, cable ant, DVD . I have a Jack antenna. It does not have the plate with button next to coax male for the booster. I cannot find the booster. Is it contained in the switch so when I turn it on the booster is activated? My Jack doesn't pick up much.

2nd DVD. Manual says I am wired for DVD for all sets. Just press the DVD button on desired tv. I get nothing in the bedroom. I have sat receiver in with coax to receiver and av out of receiver to TV. There is a blank male coax on the wall with no label. Anybody help me?
  • Thank you both. First let me say I had the male and female coax ends mixed up. Oh well at 72 what does it matter. Thanks for the clarity on TV numbers. I had it backwards. I learned two things today. First my bedroom sat receiver had died. For some reason I packed a backup and it works. Second you have to have the main set to cable or antenna to get it in the other two TV's . Nothing in manuals said that. All is working and am now parked in Louisville where it is hot outside but we are cool in. Going to be warm for us at the PGA Championship. Thanx to you both for the help. Coupled with some trial and error all is well. Now if someone could fix the Kentucky roads. I have Kelderman air on fronted think I will put some Koni FSD's on err. The Kelderman could not go on rear of this coach. Bilsteins are just to stiff. I loved my Koni shocks on other coaches.mlove the floor plan on this 35G.

I stand corrected on which TV is 2 and which is 3

Good option, Try both 2 and 3 (Which by the way is how I do it when I'm troubleshooting) that way you are sure to get the right one.
  • We just purchased out 2014 Sightseer 33c and yes the TV set up is not easy. I have a pop up TV 1 in Living room, TV 2 is outside and TV 3 is Bedroom. If you turn on the modulator (above passenger seat) you will also see the TV antenna booster lights come on. Set them all for antenna and do your scan for channels. That seemed to work fine. Cable input works, but I think in could also use a booster or the park I was in had poor signal quality, probably the later. DVD worked for me in the TV 1 and TV 3, not done that outside.

Speakers were just as crazy. there are 10 speakers total. The TV speakers are run by the amplifier below the modulator, mine is a Samsung. You have to point the remote up there to make it work, confusing. But I did get all the surround speakers to work on the DVD and yes is was a good system. TV 1 on a TV channel only is left and right plus the subwoofer.

Now for the coach radio. There are two different speakers above the dash behind the sun screen, I had looked at the coach 3 times before I found them. So if play a radio station, two top speakers work and two of the back speaker work. Back speakers for me are above the couch mounted in the cabinet. CD in the coach radio also played same four speakers. I did plug an Ipod into the USB port and it did work well without issue.

Now if you want SIrus/XM radio to work, there is a bigger hoop to jump through. MY Pioneer unit was shipped with incorrect software. You can test this by going to Sirus/XM channel one, which is the barker/advertising channel. This is always ON, don't let the "Stealer" tell you different. IF you have no audio on channel one, it needs an upgrade. If you are computer savy, go to Pioneer web site and download the software to a USB jump drive. Turn power off to the radio, means battery off switch. Plug in the jump drive then power it back on. The radio does all the hard work, takes 5 minutes or so. Go back to channel one and you should have advertising. Now you can pay for a subscription and get music from Sirus/XM.

I know this is a lot of info, but I retired as a video systems engineer and I have to make this stuff work. Drives DW crazy, but that's my job and I do it well.

Feel free to PM with questions.

The ON/OFF is for both the antenna AND the Modulator (Which is used for DVD playing).

I need a bit more precision.. You said "There is a blank male coa (Actually that is a female, the male is the part with the wire in the center) (Do not worry about that) on the wall"

Is this in the bedroom? If so that is very likely the end of the TV-2 coax

Connect it to the TV with a coax jumper

Question: Do you get ANYTHING on the bedroom TV? (Ant/DVD/Cable/SAT/DVR)

This sounds basically like the same system I have by the way.
