Basement door latches?

One of your answers suggested "Expansion". Well, I kind-a agree with that. I'm assuming you have some sort of rubber seals around those compartment doors. About 99.999% of them do. It could be that those seals are getting old and, possibly expanding and or, shrinking, which ever way you have to adjust your strike plates. Our present coach, an '04 Itasca Horizon 36GD with the C-7 330HP CAT, is 11 years old and, so far, in the last 4 years since we purchased it, I've had to replace one set of door gas struts and, one broken plastic basement door latch.

Haven't had to adjust any though. Hmmmmm, not really sure. This is kind-of a new on me.

While parked for 6 weeks could the rig been sitting awkward and put some stress on the frame? Maybe that stress shifted things a bit.

Expansion?
