Basement Storage help

I have just recently bought a GAS class A with "plastic" storage compartments. It has several sections that go all the way across but is raised in center for drive train. How do I store stuff in that area without it sliding around?

I don't have the MH packed full at this point as I am transitioning from part-timing in TT to full-timing in the Class A over the next year. I will still be using the MH for weekend or week long trips and so won't always have it full. I am trying to take my time and plan what I really need. Somethings like my ladder, zero gravity chair and outdoor mat fit better in the open all the way across areas. There is limited height in those areas, but the surface is some type of "plastic" type material and everything seems to slide around up there. Suggestions for now and for later? I will likely be using underbed type bins in parts of that area, once I am full timing, but I know they will slide too, unless they are wedged somehow.
  • If you plan to use plastic bins when you full-time why not buy them now to fit your space and while you're still doing short trips leave them in the bays empty to keep what you're taking from sliding around. Carpeting would also help.
  • We loaded each side and then on top are long things - like a ladder, shepard hooks for planters, our rugs rolled up etc. They don't slide
  • Google "Polylast"

Non skid rubberized paint used for horse trailer floors...you stuff will not slide on this coating.
  • I purchased a couple "under bed" plastic storage units. Similar to these under-bed storage They have two rollers on one end and split covers. Makes them easy to get in and out. measure you space first to make sure they will fit.
We store extra clothes and supplies. Our rig has enough room for two of them side by side.
  • Carpet, or vinyl or rubber runner mats come in long rolls that can for course be cut to fit.
