My wife and I are looking for a Class A with the following criteria:

At least 36' long
No older than 2010
A bath and a half
Desk

The search engine on RV Trader doesn't specify number of baths. Anyone know which Class A's have them?

Thanks!

Sonny,

Take a look at the 2015/2016 Newmar Baystar Model 3401..Great quality, designed for a couple, full wall slide + a KING BED. Only thing it doesn't have that you ask is 1-1/2 baths. But, my wife and I do fine with just the one. AND, remember, the more baths the more likelihood of a problem.

However, Nemar's Canyon Star does have 1 1/2 baths and one of the better gas puller's made. That floor plan, was first produced in 2013, I believe and they are around, in nice condition.

Personally if I had the money, would by the Fleetwood Bounder with L couch that the L part can push in and it is nice long couch, it has fireplace and TV across from the couch. Not sure of the model # for the bath and half but it is definitely 36 ft. BEAUTIFUL unit and was looking for a good one for sale used but then got hooked on Newmar Mountainaire used and love it but do wish it had the fireplace and TV in the place that the Bounder has it. Hands down for us it was the best choice but $$ was too much for 2 yo Bounder for us.

Look at Newmars, including used ones. One of their options is a buffet/desk. It works very well. Ours had space for the full-size monitor; a drawer for the keyboard; a pull out shelf in a cabinet for the printer; a file drawer and two small misc. drawers. We do a lot of photo editing so a laptop is out of the question.

The Desk may be a problem.. You may need to "After Market"

I can not suggest a brand or model, but I will say this

You are wise to want a bath and a half.. very wise.

You didn't say whether gas or diesel and especially for having the diesel in the rear.
If a gas puller is your preference, then my choice would be with the Newmar Canyon Star that they make in a 37ft. You may have to go with a 2013 or newer, however, as I'm not all that sure if this model was made before that year or not.
If you're after a DP, then that's another story, that can make for a long discussion.

Well, we're newbies, looking to hopefully hit the road sometime this year. It's our first RV, so we don't want to go above 50K on our first purchase, which means it will likely be gas

Here's a good place to compare prices, whether you choose to buy there or not....

You should be able to find a Fleetwood Bounder for that kind of money in the floor plan you desire and they have proven to be a very popular choice.
NADA
Given the choice, I'd also go with the WH chassis and GM engine as shown.

To be honest, in our model if you didn't get the bath and a half, they just made the RV shorter. No room gain at all.

We also have no interest in a bath and a half but everyone has different needs. We hardly ever have guests over and we would rather use the space in other ways.

Jim Norman, you are assuming that everyone is like you with the same needs. We had one bath in our previous motorhome that worked fine.

It gets a little stressful when the bathroom is needed and not available. The second bath cures that. At 45 ft., I don't feel a real loss of space as our other coach was 42 ft.

Everything depends on the needs of a specific buyer. Yours is perfect for you.

Safe travels and may your one toilet work flawlessly.:p

I think most all the single bath units have the bath accessible and located midships. The full bath in the rear almost necessitates a second head midships. I stand on my comment that I see no need at present for to. I do see that there are issues that make a second a desirable item, but for most people I see it as a wast of space, especially for two people.

My opinion entirely and I will admit to having two full baths in our S&B abode.
