Hello everyone, I bought a 2007 24' Jamboree on a Chevy chassis from El Monte in Feb of 2015. I am retired and have put 6K miles on it. In fact I just returned from a 10 day trip from Atlanta up I-75 to Detroit with many stops along the way. I rarely return the same route so after a stop in Cleveland to see an old USAF buddy, I came back on I-77 to Charlotte to I-85 to Atlanta.
I was pleasantly surprised at the Ohio Turnpike rest areas. I spent a night at one, they are RV friendly with electric hook up, dump site and potable water. $20 fee.
I have only had one issue with my RV. The transmission went bad. The warranty took care of it. I had to pay $100 deductible. This happened 6 months after purchase and I have had no other issues. El Monte has been great. I have no regrets about my purchase and would do it again. I did install a backup camera, battery isolation switch, flat screen TV and RV specific GPS. Next long trip will either be to The Smithsonian or Mt Rushmore. Savannah and Pensacola next short ones. GO RVing!
