buying running light amber lens covers

These 4x2 inch rough KII ovals that adorn practically all MH periodically crack or break, even if I don't hit things.

Last replacement time I had to buy the whole mounting assembly with lights, wires, etc., which was pretty expensive for what I needed.

Does anybody have a line on where to purchase just the lenses?
  • As others have mentioned, check the numbers/codes molded into the lens cover. Some are unique or captive to specific applications and are not readily available at the usual auto/truck parts outlets. Check RV Parts: Winnebago Outdoors. They have a number of different clearance light lens covers listed. That is where I found what I needed after searching the usual sources.
  • I've bought replacements at NAPA. They were the two wire kind that didn't depend on the chassis for a ground. It has been a number of years, but I remember the cost was very modest and nothing to loose sleep over. The LED's are a little more expensive.
  • Treefrog.....Unless CC used an odd lens, here are some on Amazon. You could go with a sealed LED or buy just the lens, about $6.00.

It sure sounds like you're going through lenses quickly. You might try spraying them with some clear paint (lacquer) to give the a little better weather protection.

  • Those things are inexpensive. If you do a little searching, you can probably find sealed LED replacements for a couple of dollars more than just the lens. If you go for replacements, be sure to get the two wire type since most coaches do not use the body as the ground.
  • Look closely at one of the lenses. get the model number and the SAE number, then post back with them.
There is many lenses that are close but they must be the correct ones or they will not fit.

There should be a number etched into the lens. This number will match up with an exact replacement lens at most Auto Parts and RV stores.

BARGMAN is a big seller of RV SAFETY LENs covers... Search on GOOGLE for many sources...

  • Most any RV parts store has the lenses. You can now buy LED replacement assemblies reasonable
