Handy? Looking to be thrifty or reasonably priced? You may want to consider a SEARS Elite 80 air suspension seat. Needs a small air compressor(my friend who just upgraded his seat uses a small 12v tire inflator right in the cab, temporary but it works), easy to install and blows the flex steels away in comfort. The adjustability for your personal needs are amazing. Dual lumbar, upper and lower, seat bottom slides independently of base as well as tilts. Arm rest height is infinite. And you do have the comfort of the air suspension itself. suburbanseats.com
Now of it's your passenger seat, well the air seat ain't gonna do. I don't understand how anyone can be truly comfortable driving in a flex steel. But that's my opinion, I too thought they were great, and maybe there are some comfortable/supportive one out there.
