Carefree awning maintenance

Well, Carefree is not carefree! My carefree auto in/out awning is sticking when in motion going in and out. It appears the plastic glide wheels and track are dirty. I have used a rag with soap and water, and q-tips to clean what I can off, but the system seems gummed up.

What kind of grease should I use? I am thinking white or silicone in the track.
