Going to look at a 2002 CC Intriuge that owner says needs slide out seals. Can this be a diy project? Any one know of any write ups or video on how to? Also anywhere to purchase new seals.

You might try posting this on the Country Coach Yahoo group. I'm sure someone has had this to do. On our '04 CC Allure the BR slide leaks but it's not because of the seal, it's poor design. You can also contact Kevin Waite who monitors the CC Yahoo group. He's a former CC tech and lives in Oregon and still works on CC's in Oregon. He's a great resource. We also use Fountain RV in Lakeland FL for repairs. The service manager there is very familiar with CC's.

I posted over there just before I posted here. One reply saying they had a mobile guy do theirs and it took two guys 8 hrs. Why does yours leak? It actually gets into the coach

Just contact CC service department and send a message to them. I found both Doug and Gregg are very knowledgeable and responsive. You can most likely even order the correct seals directly from them.

Thanks I have talked to Doug a few months ago when I was looking at a Allure. You are correct he seemed very knowledgeable called me right back and was in no hurry to get me off the phone with him.

Replacing the seals can be a DIY project if you have the right tool and a little patience. What you need is one that looks like an over grown brake adjustment tool. The seal has metal clamps imbedded in the seal and these fit over a lip that sticks up. Using the tool, you place the seal over the lip and lever the clamps down onto the lip. I watched a tech install the bottom seal on my front slide in 15 minutes. Getting to the top seal will be the hard part.

For the guy that has the leaking slide: You will find a "scupper" on the inside of the slide that catches water and routes it out. This scupper comes un bonded from the wall and then the water runs into the coach. You have to partially pull the slide in and then look behind it. You can see the scuppers and will have to glue them back to the wall.

Been there done all of this.

Funny you should ask... I'm doing this to my 5er right now. I also could not find anyhing in the way of instructions. I doubt it's a common task.

Seals are available at uni-grip.com, and parkin-acc.com. I got mine from the latter.

If my experiences would help with an A I'd be glad to post.

Yes please post. I'm sure it's all kinda the same.
