- Tulsa_Trailer_FExplorerHey. Exactly same problem I had. It is one of two things. Either the 'clock spring' that transmits signals from steering wheel to dash, or...it is the brake pressure switch. It was the latter answer for me. Brake pressure switch is on the bottom of the master cylinder (I have a 2007 E450 hauling a Coach House 272XL). Unscrew the defective one, screw the new one in and then reconnect wires. Fixed.
May be a recall, but I did not wait to find out. My cost was $53 to have cruise control. - SamGoodExplorerThere is a recall for this problem, potential fire hazard. No fuses for cruise control.
- navegatorExplorerThe fuse box by the drivers feet is closed with a black lid, you can identify it because on the right lower corner there is a semi cicle where the turn signal rellay goes and it is round.
Have you checked the switch on the brake pedal to see if it is making contact, the brake pedal some times hangs up and does not let the switch close the cirquit.
The cruise control only works above 35 miles per hour, under that does not work and will not engage.
navegator - TravelcrafterExplorerI took a few min. and went over to google to try to get you a quick answer. Bottom line, there is no quick answer,go there and spend some time, you'll find a wealth of information.
- navegatorExplorerYou have a post open and there are several suggestions as to what the problem could be.
