every promaster conversion i have seen has this 2000 pound limit.
remember the 5100 pound tow limit on the empty promaster is with an empty van.
a conversion in effect fills up the van-combine that with a 6 cylinder-good as it is- and the max is 2000 pounds.
a promaster conversion is not the one to get if you want to tow.
The Diesel Motorhomes are only rated for slightly over 4000lbs in Australia, so the Petrol V6 numbers sound right
