Decal restoration

I know I have seen this on the forum before but can not seem to locate in "search". The decals on my 2007 Safari Simba have a haze over them. Has been washed regularly and waxed twice a year. Any ideas or products that work?
  • I use Aerospace #303 on mine! I apply it (#303) once every 3 months.
  • Don't wax over the decals. That will ruin them. Use what J-Rooster said and nothing else! In fact, you can use the Aerospace #303 on the whole coach, instead of the wax!
  • Yup, 303 Aerospace is the only thing I would use on vinyl decals.
  • I have been using 303 for 10 years on my 2003 Safari. They look like they just came out og the factory. Also use it on my rear cap mural. great stuff!
  • do this 303 keep them from pealing off? and where do you get this stuff, wally world or where?
  • two bottles is $32 on amazon shipped prime. I am going to try this stuff too.
  • Anything that contains ANY percentage of Petroleum Distillates will destroy and remove the vinyl graphics "Plasticizers", compounds that keep the vinyl supple and protcted from UV (sun) damages. Then decals will curl, crack and peal.

You CAN NOT REVERSE the damage to the decals.

Never wax the decals. Use 303 Aerospace or Protect-all...both are at Camping World. Somtimes small bottles at WalMart.

Armor All contains Ether and Isopropyl Alcohol, both destroy vinyl and the adhesives. Never wax the decals. Use ONLY 303 Aerospace or Protect-all. SAFE STUFF!

My Jayco is now almost 9 years old...looks brand new. The tires are uncracked, the vinyl is smooth and unfaded, the plastics are pristine.

303 is Amazing. Use it sparingly...I wet a rag with it and wipe it on. Keeps tires from cracking too.

    Good luck!

You can also get #303 in the big tent at Quartzsites, AZ. and Cabelas Stores
  • I just had the decals on my 2002 Itasca Sunrise 32V replaced. Shop said to use 303 only. Got a gallon from Amazon.com for $36.00
