Do you like your jacknife sofa?

I am thinking of putting a Belmont jacknife sofa from shop4seats in my coach. The kids refuse to sleep on the air mattress on my fold-out sofa. I would like to hear from someone who has one on whether you would recommend it.

Good sofa, lousy bed. Uncomfortable in sleeper-bed position.

Had a jack knife sofa in my other coach, found it to be too short even for me at 5'-7", also not comfortable for two people. Would be ok for 1 short person only.

I use 2" foam under the mattress and it helps. I keep it stored under our master bed!!

I have had them in three previous motorhomes. They were fine for an occassional guest. My wife like sitting on them. I guess I would fall under - liked it - did not love it! Remember, it is not a bed! It is a hybrid to allow extra sleeping arrangements. Also, my wife liked to be able to sit on the end facing the overhead TV. With a couch you are turning sideways to watch TV.

I have not, but my friend has a Belmont jackknife sofa. Comfortable for kids.

We have a flexsteel jackknife J lounge, and a loveseat size flexsteel jackknife across from it. Both are very comfortable for sitting on. Out 5'10" 17 year old sleeps on the J lounge side and likes it fine. Both fold flat and comfy as beds, tho the short one is well, short.

They protrude maybe a foot each when folded down. Slides out, there is still plenty of room to put a cot in the middle and walk past it on either side.

I don't own one, but sure liked the one I sit in at a RV Dealer in Quartzsite. The coach was a Winnebago Eclipse DP!

We have both a fold out w/air mattress and a jack knife sofa. I can sleep on either one, but prefer the air mattress. Either are equally comfortable to sit on or lay on, although the jack knife is a couple inches shorter.

We have a Flexsteel jackknife in a 2007 Revolution. I would have taken it our when we installed our Euro Recliners but there was not enough room, so the sofa bed was removed. The jackknife was uncomfortable to sit on so I removed the bottom cushion and doubled the number of zig-zag springs. I also cross-tied them for additional support. Now it is as comfortable as the sofa bed was to sit on. Cost was about $20 for the spring material and 2 hours to install them.
