dometic ccc wall thermostat

my dometic CCC 2 wall thermostat developed a code 3 last night and
my system shut down. woke up this morning and system is
working perfect... what caused it and does it sound like
my thermostat is taking a dump? on vacation with cat on
board and wife is really worried... thanks for your input

    You also should have thermostat turned off, hold zone and mode buttons while turning thermostat on, this will reset.

  • Turn your t-stat off, both zones. Press and hold the zone and mode buttons at the same time. This will reset your t-stat. I've had to do this the last 2 trips out and will have my dealer replace it tomorrow.
  • E3, Is a shorted INDOOR temp sensor. So, either the wall tstat(CCC2) is the indoor temp sensor or the system has a remote temp sensor on a wall or ceiling. It depends on how many roof AC units you have and where the CCC2 is located. Usually Zone 1 AC the CCC2 will be the indoor temp sensor and the Zone 2 will have the remote interior temp sensor for that Zone. But, if the CCC2 cannot be mounted where it can sense the Zone 1 indoor temp they will install a remote temp sensor for Zone 1. Yes, if the CCC2 is the temp sensor, then it has a fault and needs replaced. Resets do NOT fix operational/error problems on Dometic CCC systems. Doug
