Donvel Stablizers

We have a 2007 Tiffin Allegro Bay 35 TSB FRED. This is an outstanding RV with the exception of a firm ride. Has anyone, who had a FRED chassis, had the Donvel Suspension system installed on his/her FRED chassis? My understanding is that it significantly improves the ride.

Thanks,
Art
  • I'll bump this back to the top. I am considering driving 2,500 miles to Donvel. I need someone to confirm it is worth it. I also have a FRED chassis.
  • No, Donvel will work on any airride suspension. It is just a controller and a reasonable way to find out. Peterbilt uses a bar attached to the frame and a valve attached to the airbag. The linkage is adjustable and whn you put a load on it, it adjusts to the same level as the frame sinks. It is so simple I could have thought of it.
  • Isn't the Donvel for heavy trucks? For Rvs some have used the Kelderman system. They seem to be very happy with their conversions.
