My brother and I where at Canaveral jinxing another shuttle launch. When we where driving away I heard this noise coming from the dash board area. Sounded like static on an old transistor radio. Seems it was louder when I slowed down and stopped. My brother was crawling on the floor and under the dash trying to figure it out.
Who knew those dang back up cameras had microphones on them. Every time we slowed down the vehicle behind us got close enough that we could hear their engine.
Duh !

This happened to me too. I tried out the intercom then forgot to turn the volume back down. Then I drove 200 miles trying to figure out the new noise I was hearing. I couldn't figure out how I could hear the engine in the front of a diesel pusher coach.

First time I parked my trailer in the driveway, I forgot that the second floor of our house overhangs the first by 3'...(we had just moved here a few years prior) only a minor ding and broken clearance light.. and some embarrassment...

When we got our new TT back in 2005, First one with a slide, I was retracting the slide, maybe 3rd or 4th time, I heard a crunch, Seems I left a stool in front of the slide where it squeezes in real tight, I damaged the wall access door the stool crushed up against. Pilgrim, sent me a new access door, never done that again, To this day, even with our new MH with 3 slides, I check and double check the slide paths before retracting them.

The ex was banned from operating the slide controls after two accidents in a row. She ripped the cabinet doors off and crushed a chair on two subsequent attempts to operate them.

Our motorhome was home in the garage when I decided to grease the front kingpins and steering joints. In order to fit under it I raised the front with the leveling jacks. As the coach went up I heard a crunch, stopped raising and wondered what had hit. Suddenly realized that when installing a new DVD on the TV I had wound up the antenna to check TV sound outputs several days before. The antenna had hit a stiffener at the crown of the garage roof. No damage but sure felt stupid, no one was there but me and I haven't told the DW.

While pulling into a campsite I thought I heard a noise, but in my infinite wisdom chose to ignore it and continued into the site. After we got out of the RV I discovered I crushed three basement doors on some landscaping timbers.

I got into a tight gas station and dragged the side of the RV against a metal pole that was hidden in a bush trying to get out.

I took a left instead of a right coming out of my driveway and hit a low limb that wiped out my A/C unit.

I tried to move my FW a few feet to mow under it and didn't put the hitch safety latch on and dropped the FW on my truck bed.

Was getting the (new to me) Sahara ready to go in the spring and the radio didn't work. I went to Walmart and bought a new radio (one with USB input so I could play all my tunes) and wired it up, still didn't work. Traced the wiring back and could not get any power back to the fuse block, so I suspected a broken wire somewhere. I rewired the hot side of the radio and everything worked fine.

Six or seven months later on the winter trip, I was sitting in the driver's seat just looking things over and I see this red switch on the dash. DOH!

One winter night we had a very hard rainfall then the rain stopped the sky cleared and it froze hard. Knowing the coach will stay warmer with the slides in. I retracted them and heard a big crunch the frozen rain water cut a slice into my slide out seal.

I feel so much better about mine:

1. Forgot to chock TT tires and trailer rolled into my new truck. Luckily only caused about 150.00 in damage.

2. Side swiped my neighbors Prius parked on my street. It was the neighborhood garage sale and cars were everywhere. I was focused on not hitting another car and accidentally swiped the Prius. That little accident cost my insurance company over 20,000. You should have seen the Prius!

First trip out with a new TT we got to the site and started to disconnect.
Forgot about the safety chains and I hopped in the truck and pulled forward till truck came to a dead aburpt stop.
Luckily didn't brake anything but no matter what trailer I'm hooked to the wife still makes me triple check everything.

Pulled our motorhome in to get fuel, after I was done I got back on the interstate and about a mile down the road a car told me to pull over. I had left my wife back at the station; I still have not lived that one down.

picked up the 5th wheel from storage and when I arrived back I noticed I had no awning protectors (gutter type). Must have driven off with them on the awning. Never did find them! Now I tie a string from the covers to the door so I don't forget!

But...I never forgot my wife at the gas station! (I confess that I may have wanted to a few times)
