Frame extension re-enforcement and tail sag

I have a '98 year bounder sitting on a '99 F53 Chassis. being that it's the '98 house, I have the Tag axle from that year even though it wasn't needed on the newer 20,500lbs chassis. The good is that I get an additional 1,000 lbs CCC and more stability on the road but the bad is that I have the weak frame extensions from the earlier chassis even though I have the GVWR to support larger rails.

I have begun to notice signs that I have the dreaded tail droop that affected the longer older Gas coaches. I had read somewhere on a post quite some time ago that someone had corrected that by jacking the rear up and re-enforcing the frame extensions. I'm wondering if anyone has fixed the sagging tail problem and if the fix was along those lines?

I know I would have to take it somewhere but was hoping to hear that it can be fixed and roughly what the cost might be.

Thanks!

Thanks. That's what I was wondering. I will have to look around for a good place to get that done around the Tampa area.

I heard it cost about $1000 to strengthen the frame in back, lucky for me on my 08 F-53 33ft Bounder the previous owner had this done and welded the hitch to it to increase towing capacity, I think he towed a race car or something heavy, he even put on rear air bags.

It does stop the wobble in back from what I heard.

I also heard there is a place in Oregon that does this but not sure where, a good weld shop that understands what needs to be done can do it also.
