Fuel pump cut off switch

Once again thanks for the info hoping I can resolve this on my own limited knowledge so the help is really appreciated

You could go under the rig, look at the oil pressure switch. If it is oozing, then go get a new one. O'Reilly auto parts have them. Oil Pressure Switch
If it is clean and dry, check the orange wire for 12 volts. It is hot all the time.
If you have power, jumper between the orange and the gray. You should(maybe) hear the pump run.

Thank you for this additional info if I'm not able to figure it out atleast I can pass this info to my mechanic to possibly cut down on trouble shooting time

The fuel cut off is in the oil pressure gauge sending unit. It is on the bottom left side of the 454/7.4 big block. No oil pressure, no power to fuel pump .
It is powered off fuse that should be identified "ECM/Bat"
There is a fuel pump relay that runs for 3-5 seconds to charge the line.

I think there is a misunderstanding about a fuel pump cut off switch. When you first turn the key on, the fuel pump will pump for about 3 seconds to prime the injectors, and the injectors will pulse to drip fuel into the intake. Once you start cranking, the eventually fire normally. I have heard that some units have an oil pressure switch to sense oil pressure to turn the pump on for run mode, but I'm not sure all units did that. I think there is a time delay on the ECM that turns it back on again after it has cranked for a while. Some of how it is wired depends on year and ECM model. Even though you have a 1994 motorhome, your chassis may be older.

Ok thanks for the info seen on line about cut off switch but didn't know fords did Chevys didn't spent time looking for something that wasn't there

chevys never used a cutoff switch fords did probably a relay
