Garage Door Height ?
I'm cutting my barn for a new garage door. I'd like to make the door 12' 3" tall 12' wide. The reason is that I have two 7x9 doors (one each side) of the new door I'm ordering and I'd like the panels ...

Just remember the Murphy Standard.. All doors will be six inches too short.
Seriously there are some heavy duty GDO's for home use.. and actually it is not as big a deal as you might think... The Door has springs or other means of being counter weighted.. The opener only needs a little power to open it, Bigger, opens faster.
Oh, and though I do not know the federal regulations.. I suspect the difference between the commercial opener and the residential is the emergency override device.
