I had to seal a few spots on the motorhome (not the roof). I used Geocel Proflex Rv sealant. It's been about a month and it's seems to be holding up well.
But it is still a little tacky. I used the clear, and it is very shiny.
Is this normal for this product? I'd like to do more sealing in the future. Is there something else I should be using? Thanks for any help
The sealant Winnebago uses on all its side seems stays a little tacky but does not attract dirt. It is designed to stay flexible. It is not shiny. You can use Stone Mason gutter and siding sealant, Nuflex 640 or Hengs 96600.
I truly hate that stuff. It is the hardest stuff to apply as you only get one shot at smoothing it, and it is absolutely miserable to take off. As you try to remove it, it turns to a crystally rubber.
Katuna, if someone used that on your roof, they messed up. Vents on the roof (or anything horizontal) should be self leveling lap sealant only.
