I'm surprised at some of these low numbers.:?

With our 36' 2003 Rexhall (F53 w/ V-10) and a Jeep Wrangler toad, we're consistently getting 17 - 21 MPG. Sometimes a little less in the hill country.

Make that 6 to 8 mpg (with a decent tailwind) in west Texas.

Pulling a 12' trailer with a 750lb motorcycle and on-board generator running, I got about 7MPG on my most recent trip. Relatively flat terrain all the way.

I was averaging 8.5 at 55mph towing my HHR. No idea what the impact of my new Equinox will be on mpg yet until next summer.

Gas mileage on a V-10 motorhome is a figment of the owners imagination. Too many factors involved i.e, towing, speed, terrain, wind, loaded weight, running generator. When someone asks me what mileage I get on my V-10, my pat answer
is "I didn't buy it for gas mileage"!

9-15 is EXTREMELY HIGH-- almost unworldly for a Class A with Ford V10.

You would not have to take your shoes off to count the number of V10 Class A owners who average 10 MPG! Not 10 MPG on one tank with a tail wind, downhill but AVERAGE.

I agree. As I mentioned in other threads I approached a Ford rep at the Winnebago GNR a couple years ago and asked the same question. He was a bit evasive as to what mileage could be expected. When I offered that I'd read people claiming mileage in excess of 11 mpg his response was "Anyone claiming double digit mileage with the V10 needs to recheck their math".

For what it's worth, I stopped driving my self nuts calculating MPG years ago. It's just not worth it. There are so many factors and variances and in the end what difference does it make? You won't buy an RV or take a trip if MPG is 7 vs. 9? Calculate that on a trip and in dollars it's not as much as you think. If someone asks me my mileage I tell them " I get pretty good mileage for an apartment".

2002 V10 32 foot class a towing a c-max --7.4 mpg average over 20,000 miles. (been keeping track).
