Is the engine dying a serious issue in a '94 Damon Intruder?

Adding to other good comments. Once the vehicle is running the battery doesn't come into play. Buying anything used comes with greater risk. Don't assume it is an easy fix, or the seller is telling you the truth. If you are willing to assume the risk, use the issue and any other resources at your disposal to negotiate the lowest price.
