We are considering these two brands of mohos...in the short range, and wondered what people know about the differences in quality, ride, etc.

Thanks for your help!

We also looked at both, I have a friend with a 35' Jayco, we opted for a 35' Winnie. I like his RV, he likes my RV. Although he has a list of warrenty repairs ready. I have none.

There has been zero decline in quality since Thor took over Jayco. In fact the Entegra line seems to have improved. I wouldn't worry about Thor owned Entegra. Remember that Thor also owns Air Stream and Hymer and there has been no noticeable change in quality at either company.

Despite what the Intertooble says, we also narrowed down our search to Winnebago or Jayco, and we have been extremely happy with our Jayco Alante. We used it nearly every weekend from May through September and logged almost 5k miles between Washington, Oregon, and Idaho and knock on wood had no significant issues. I'm sure it will fall apart next season, though :B

I would get the Winnebago. I think they are much better made.

How could anyone compare a Jayco to a Winnie? Jayco makes some of the worst RV's ever sold! Winnie is way above Jayco junk.

If you ever wondered why the RV plants have a problem with drug use this video says it all.

Winnebago makes a nice MH, but based upon our search for a MH during the past year, I would suggest that you also look at motorhomes made by Newmar or Tiffin.
