Kelderman

This should spark controversy again. Traded Winnebago 2012 30T for Winnebago 35 G. Both gas. Had every intention of getting a Forza but we didn't find it to meet our needs including ride. So bought the floor plan we love. It has a better ride than 30 T without modification but not what we want especially WI roads that are really in bad shape as we sell out infrastructure for corporate tax breaks. Personally the changes in our taxes have put a bunch of money in our pockets we did not expect so we will add Kelderman to our suspension as we did our 30T. Looking forward to a great ride without getting a DP with tag.

You are correct Holstein about your conclusions. I can only see the dividend of ending two wars we put on the credit card as a plus that will free up some money at the federal level. We are going to have to adjust the retirement age for Social Security as painful as that will be politically. With life expectancy where it is and will be that does make sense. Tough decisions that will have to be bipartisan. Not a real possibility these days. I am hoping that Kelderman on a heavier coach will give me a great ride. I have no doubt you are going to have a great ride and amazing journey.

We have serious issues coming in the near future with pressing needs for infrastructure maintenance. Not just roads, but bridges, electric, water and sewage systems as well. Then throw in the un-budgeted needs for pensions, Social Security and health care and you can see that very significant changes will be coming to our fiscal system soon or to our quality of life. Likely both.

I really wish everyone would take a dispassionate look at this and forget about politics. This is really a fiscal problem and it would be much better if we could set priorities in an intelligent manner given our limited resources.

I agree, new road building seems to happen easier than repairing or replacing old, bad roads. The cabinets did come loose from the walls in my dad's 1990 Pace Arrow. The P-30 chassis did not help, but neither did the pounding it took on the roads.

Goldencrazy, You are exactly right.

Every time we build or expand a highway, we are committing the future generations to high road maintenance and that is where we are currently suffering.

As you know, I'm about to upgrade my 2011 Storm with the Kelderman system to a 2015 King Aire. I just drove 740 mile this weekend and can't wait for the new coach. I-95 in GA and SC is bad. Particularly, in SC and particularly at bridge abutments.

There were several times this weekend when the shock from the crumbling roads shook the MH violently and felt as if the front tires were going to explode, the cabinets fall off or I would lose control of the coach. And that's with the Kelderman system.

Goldencrazy, if you have not been in the Milwaukee area lately, you do not know of the billions of dollars being spent on the freeway infrastructure. The Marquette interchange, the Mitchell interchange, and now, the Zoo interchange are being fully rebuilt. Re-decking of the Hoan bridge is in process now too. Once we are done spending it all here, maybe you can have some over there. ๐Ÿ˜‰
I was through Madison a couple weeks ago. I ran into construction on 94 northbound, and Hwy 19 was closed. I guess you ARE getting some of it.

Yes there is a lot of construction but most is to accommodate increasing traffic. That leaves little money for just resurfacing roads that take a beating from a terrible winter. We will need to adjust our funding in the future as gas tax is now impacted by fuel efficient vehicles. I guess our moho's do not fall in that category. The so called "Prius tax" makes little sense. As we develop more efficient interchanges such as Marquette and the new, in progress, Verona Rd in Madison we need to figure out how we will maintain them.

I did the Kelderman package on my 2011 Coachmen Mirada and was very pleased with the improvement in ride. Now I have a 2014 Tiffin Allegro 36LA and at least for now I am very content with the ride and see no need to go the Kelderman route. I think going from 19.5 inch to 22.5 inch wheels and from a 22K chassis to a 24K chassis made a difference. But if I was seeking ride improvement, Kelderman would be my choice.

Glad you found a new motorhome and it works. The bigger wheels do make a difference and with the added weight the ride is definitely much better than smaller coaches. I am curious to see how much the improvement will be on a coach that is just OK instead of horrible.

The Employers that moved in Wi did not go for lower taxes. In fact many were offered special government financing and TIF benefit. Most leave to avoid environmental standards and for cheap labor. Sorry Dan but you are a victim of propaganda not fact. Now let's fix those roads.

I think you are correct lets punish all employers with higher taxes until they all move off shore. :R

Dan, it wasn't my intention to argue about taxes but we headed that way. My point is that road conditions are increasingly making suspension add ons important to protect passengers and equipment driving up cost of ownership either at front end or at the repair point.

"...as we sell out infrastructure for corporate tax breaks."

USA has highest corporate tax rate of developed countries.

Glad to hear you can afford air ride for your gasser and glad to hear WI is trying to keep employers a float.
