Less and Less Posts

Is it just me? Over the last year there seems to be a lot less posts. I used to see 10 to 14 or more pages, now it seems like 5 or 6 is a lot.
I don't do a lot of posts myself but I do read them and will put in an answer or advice if I it is something I know about. just curious to see if others see the change.

Shure there are other things at play, But I think one that has grown a lot in the past six months is the negativity on here. I get tired of seeing some poor person ask a question in an odd or non-technical way, only to be pounced on by someone who seems to enjoy belittling them.. The moderators on here need to put their foot down and change this before this fine site fades away...

I first noticed this last year. My observation was the the number of posts and pages reduced dramatically over the fall and winter months and then increased in the spring and summer. This past summer it was not unusual to have 20 pages of posts on any given day and sometimes more. I think a big part of it just has to do with people putting their RV's in storage in colder weather and not thinking about it much until warmer weather. Just my observation.

Winter blues for those stuck in the cold.

The ones in the southern sun are out doing things.

More people are learning to use the search function. ( Except for the ten posters who all started Merry Christmas threads.....lol.

Some long time senior members have left, in a dispute over moderating. I have stayed, but I am not posting as much.

I am NOT saying this is the only cause, but could be a factor when combined with the winter slow down.

I've noticed a definitely reduction in the number of post for the past month or so. I visit other forums that are not as popular as this one and they are a waste of time, no post for weeks or months at a time.
Faddish things do wear out and readers get tired of seeing the same topics over and over again.

Holidays have people pre-occupied with other things, especially when they visiting with family they haven't seen in a long time.

Another reason may be simply, the Winter Blahs! Nothing is happening, nothing to write or ask about, as more than 1/2 the country is bedded down for the Winter.

Another reason (and this is a guess), there's been a lot of "negativity" on these forums lately and I think folks are somewhat reluctant to post for fear of back-lash by other posters.

But mostly, I think it's just "that" time of year!
