Probably. New LED recessed lights are very low profile compared to old halogen type.
You'll have to do some exploring... Take down an existing light and cut a hole inside the footprint of the fixture. Take a look inside, maybe use a tape measure. If it doesn't work out you can cover the hole with the fixture.
