LP tank service

I have a Brunner MFG. 40 lb. LP tank that has a stuck filler valve. Manchester Tank Co. bought out Brunner in 2000. I have a 1/2 tank for the next 5 days of near freezing temps. Anyone have a similar problem and have an idea to find a new or rebuilt 4 bolt filler valve? Rubber mallet taps it open, but will not seal. Thank you

A Extend-A-Stay or Stay-A-While (Extend-a-stay was the name back when Marshall Brass Made it, Stay-A-While is by Mr, heater, appears identical).

Put it between your tank valve's POL fitting and your regulator.. And you can feed in propane from an external tank when you need to.

    Works good too.

Or Sturgi-stay. This is the one I got:

    Works great.

  • try a local propane company they can install another valve right on the existing filler, happened to my nephew a couple years ago when they were visiting us. We tried tapping on it and got it slowed down.Called local company and they came and put fitting in, cost $50 total
  • I had a problem with my bleeder valve last year ,took it two three propane shops , they were stumped. took it to my mom,pop rv shop and the bled off the gas took it apart ,full of rust. but its working again.
