MPG on recent year 40 foot Phaeton?

Thanks to everyone for your feedback. Based on the information recieved even at the high price of diesel the Phaeton will use a few less dollars of fuel then what we are doing now. Not enough to justify the upgrade but at least it will not cost any more to run.

you are truely an exception to the rule for sure.Never ever heard of a 350HP DP getting the extra ordinary mileage your claiming.
I had a 1997 38ft no slide 325 cummins and got 7MPG then a 350 cummins 2 slide unit and got 7.5 and now have 425HP Cummins 4 slide and get 8MPG.This is combined passes(grades) and flat land

Come to Canada. With our gallon you'll get a 20% increase in mpg and you won't even have to slow down! Mind you our litres are pretty expensive :S

Our ISL averages around 8 in a 41' American Coach and a CRV. A head wind is the worst as far as MPG is concerned.

possible it does under certain conditions+"speed" but with TOAD,fully loaded and averaging in mountain passes etc it will be 7.5-8 max

8.7 to 8.9 is what we are getting, pulling a Honda CRV

We hit the road and don't give a rip about fuel mileage. It's so much more relaxing that way.

Our Subaru gets good mileage, but it's uncomfortable to sleep in and the kitchen and bathroom are cramped.

I just like to be well informed. If one makes a large purchase it is good to know all you can about it. Yes I understand about traveling and not worry about it as we just got back from a 4500 mile trip and are headed out for another trip. Enjoy your trip down the road being totally uninformed if it makes you feel better.

I agree. Also with Diesel creeping towards $4 bucks a gallon, There could be several hundreds to even thousands of dollars of difference in gas costs on small to long trips.

7.5mpg give or take .5mpg
