My first MH - Georgetown 364TS

Greetings all,

After some debate for the last few years, I bought a toy hauler for our family of 6 plus a dog. Kids are 11 or under and I had debated a while going back and forth between the trailer or a MH.

Well, the TH lasted a season as I decided to make the move to a MH after my trips feeling like work. I had plenty of truck to pull a 35' trailer but it was a hassle and i felt like i had to plan out every detail. Add in a 24 gallon diesel tank on my F250 at 10mpg and all of us cramped in a crew cab and it wasnt really fun. Setting up and pack up took plenty of time, and the trip wasnt fun either.

I just recently sold the TH and bought a GT364TS. I had been intimidated by the size of a class A and head been leaning toward a C, such as a sunseeker 3170 as I thought it would handle easier.

When I finally test drove the 37' class A, I was flat out AMAZED at how well it drove and handled. My family loved it and there was no going back to a small windshield and smaller overall C. It is so much easier to drive than my trailer...I drove 5 hours to pick one up and brought it home no problem at all.

The MH drove very well, the 6 speed trans did its job and I would often find myself pushing 70 without noticing even on a windy day. I could feel it when a semi came up from behind and passed, but had only one surprise moment. It was very quiet, RPMs about 2150 at 65 mph and minimal down shifting from michigan to iowa (a few hills but nothing major).

With my trailer, I didnt want to stop anywhere off the path as it was tough if I got into a bind. First time driving this I felt fine going to Cracker barrel, even drove around the entire place looking for a good spot without worry (im sure its more fun towing a car though).

All in all, just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is thinking of a TT, Class C or Class A...Its still winterized so couldnt use the facilities, imagine it will only get better once we can start using it.

As far as the layout...2 full baths, king bed, washer/dryer, 22.5 tires, bunk beds, drop down...full size fridge, convection microwave, etc....cant wait to take this on trips where i pretty much dreaded pulling the trailer and the work involved.

Will see how long the honeymoon lasts, but for now very happy i have made the switch and we are now considering so many places where i would have said "no way" before.
