About 12 years ago, I installed a Fantastic Fan in the travel trailer I had before buying the MH. The TT had a curved roof, too.
I don't remember all the details, but I remember being a little surprised at how easy it was. I never had a problem with leaks there in the 11+ years I owned it after installing the FF.
Follow the instructions and you will be fine.
