Norcold class action

Anyone else heard anything from the Norcold class action law suit? To all the naysayers when this was discussed a while back I thought what the heck I have nothing to invest and nothing to lose. So yesterday a letter came with check for nearly $250 with 3 more promised over the next 3 yrs. totaling nearly $1000 helping to pay for the refer I replaced with a residential. At least something positive became of this.

I have had THREE 1200/1210 norcolds over 14 years and other than one thermistor I have had Zero problems and really no complaints. I switched to a house fridge only because we live in it for 5.5 months and needed a larger capacity

I believe its based on years of ownership and out of pocket repairs
The ones that will get around 900$ I believe must have had to replace cooling unit etc
My buddy has owned his since 2004 and he only got $45 so far but has never spent a cent on the fridge but got extra 3 years warrenty on the cooling unit

OK, so we've had ours for a year now. What's the next step???

its been closed for almost a year now. This thing settled about the time I replaced mine with Helium and that was last July. Best guess is one of the PO's got that notice and likely in on the class action

So, no compensation for my aggravation, eh? I haven't spent money, since a good Samaritan sent me an ARP for next to free, but have fooled with it a good bit and in addition to that install.

I received a check for $228.92 which is one of four. I've never had an ounce of trouble with my Norcold 1200 but I'll take the money just in case.

The class action was pretty straight forward with what the reimbursement is vs. a list of situations pertaining to present or past ownership, etc. This no billiable hours to report. You signed up for the 4 or 5 options, period.

my buddy got $45 and more to come plus they extended his warrenty for three years against cooling unit failure his unit currently is 13 years old

I got my check for 228.90 today with the promise of three more over the next three years. We never expected this to happen and it will just about cover the expenses we have had over the past several years for repair work but is not near enough to replace the Norcold.
