Just a reminder that the Norcold Recalls are much more extensive than only the 1200's. Mine is one of 25,000 - 482's and is also on the list. I suggest that if you have any Norcold you might be wise to pursue this recall.P.S. this applies to all RV's with Norcolds.

My fridge was on the recall list, so I called norcold. They sent the new parts and even called my repair guy to set up an appointment and said to call back to make sure I was Happy.

what part is on this recall they replaced that box that clips to the coils and is the part hard to replace

It's been my impression, after watching web chats such as this one, that there are more problems with the Norcolds after the recalls than before.

And all this to fix a problem, the frequency of which is unknown.

The only real fix for a Not-So-Cold is the Samsung 197 RR.

Or replacing the rear coils with Amish built ones. David Force is the person to contact at the phone # listed on the site. Very knowledgeable, very helpful and will return your calls if leaving a message.
