Old Country Coach Spotted Today

I was camping out today at Kalaloch N.P.S. Campground on the Pacific Ocean in Washington State (I should have took a picture) there was 1983 Country Coach D.P. at the Kalaloch Store. it was old but in good shape for it's age. I was overwhelmed by this coach and it's still on the road 33 years later! It has to be one of CC's first DP's? I know CC first started out in 1970 as Country Camper then started out building DP's in the early 1980's. The outside colors were two tone Creme and Brown. What a old beautie!

Yeah. I see those GMC motorhomes in California from to time and they are always appreciated.
Funny that 40 years ago the builders put some mind into the job, like tandem single wheels, airbags on small motorhome, aerodynamic design with structural integrity, when today lot of new stuff are square boxes stapled with some cheap lumber and covered with paneling.
Then drop on cheap chassis extended out of common sense.
Sure they have bells and whistles.
    $5 water faucets and such...

  • Just sold my 1972 conversion. No idea who did the conversion, but it had gold-plated faucets.
New owners are planning to use it heavily, so keep your eyes open when you are in So Oregon.

  • Yep, a picture would have been nice. I like the vintage RV's. :)
