onan gen.
I have the onan 5000 and it runs great but getting it started is something else.It takes for ever to get gas to it, feel like it will wear my starter out.Does any one have that problem? Is there a way...

Yep - I press and hold STOP for 10-15 seconds to prime the generator. Learned that at a Onan presentation somewhere along the road. It does take a few seconds to start but I do not think 30 is the norm for mine. Good luck with yours.
