- Two_JayhawksExplorerLoved Ponchartrain Landing. We chose a spot overlooking the intercontinental waterway. These are pull in rather than back in so the view out the front windows is pretty cool. We regularly saw dolphins. We liked the location and the CG was a delight.
- lhenry8113ExplorerWe stayed there in 2010 for a few days. Roads getting to the campground where a bit rough. Campground was great--we had a site looking over the water. Everybody seemed very friendly--we enjoyed our stay there. Lars
- Executive45Explorer IIIWe stayed there in April last year and returned in October. Two weeks each time. There are three types of sites to choose from, reg, waterfront and presidential. The first time we stayed in a waterfront site and found it to be spacious enough for our rig with 4 slides. The regular sites appeared to be large enough too. On our return trip, we stayed in one of the presidential sites which I would certainly recommend. Those sites include a cabana with bbq, prep area, refrigerator and a private spa, all overlooking the ship channel that connects Lake Pontchartrain with the Mississippi River. They have a small store, a restaurant with free live music, a pool with waterfall, a spa, clean restrooms and laundry facilities.
The shuttle runs $10/person and makes three trips per day. Be sure to take the Grey Line Bus Tour. Ours was supposed to be a 2 1/2 hour tour that lasted almost four! I learned more in that 4 hours than I did when I was in school. What a history lesson! Our driver grew up in New Orleans and was awesome.

A sailboat heads to the marina. - Bob___AnnExplorerWe stayed at Pontchartrain Landing in February and enjoyed it. We found it to be a good value. Being on the water is nice and it is safe which is a big plus for the area. The landscaping is very nice and yes they have a shuttle which takes you to the French Quarter. We really did not find it to be that tight especially with the landscaping between the sites. We did have a deluxe pull through. If you want to drive to the quarter you can do it in about 15 minutes. If you have Passport America you can get a discount with it. The only draw back is it is dusty when it is dry. We will definitely stay there again the next time we are in New Orleans.
- Teacher_s_PetExplorerBayou Segnette State Park, stayed there two nights last spring..great state park! Quick access to N.O. by car or by ferry. Saw a man take a 20#+ redfish from the bayou at the park entrance, impressive.

Ditto! We found Bayou Segnette State Park much nicer. Just a ferry ride across the river to the French quarters. - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerWe stayed there for 3 nights last year. - Two_HandsExplorerWe stayed there two or three years ago. It was very nice. Not a resort, but very nice. It is an easy drive from the campground to the French Quarter.
- Sandia_ManExplorer IIHaven't stayed there personally, but reviews are mostly positive.
