popping sound when making turns

What is the most likely cause of popping sound when making turns. Some one suggested the shocks were toast. Is he correct or are there more likely causes?
  • Anti sway bar rubber mounts deteriorated resulting in occasional metal to metal contact?
  • I get all kinds of popping sounds whenever I bend over or turn quickly. Mostly without the Motor Home. or especially in it.
  • Dan,

That shocks are about the only thing it isn't likely to be.
Can you feel anything in the steering?
Age and miles on the vehicle might help.

  • Does the "popping" sound like it's coming from the suspension or where the body meets it?
  • We had a "popping sound" when turning and using brakes on DS front. Brake shoes were hanging up on the "pivot pin" according to mechanic. Cause was a leaking inside wheel bearing seal. Check for grease on inside of front wheels.
  • Turn the wheel with the RV stationary to isolate a steering component noise from a body component noise caused by coach sway.
  • Might want to call the Tiffin folks, perhaps they've had issues with other coaches with the same problem as your's...

    Just a suggestion,
