Pry Off Wheel Simulators?

I have a 2008 Coachmen Freelander 3150SS. I am trying to remove the wheel simulator on the left rear dual and I'm not sure how to go about doing this. I have read several posts on the topic but still cannot find an answer. From what I have read, there should be two lug nut covers that have some kind of marking or flange to differentiate them from the others. These are the two to remove in order to remove the simulator. Well, all of my eight covers are identical and tapping them produces no noticeable difference in sound. None sound more solid than the others.
Is it possible that I have a different type of simulator, one that pries off, o0r am I missing something real obvious.
We are headed to Bristol for the race Friday morning and I would like to have this resolved before hitting the road.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Do your simulators look like these (from Dicor Versaliner), very common:

The 2 nuts that are removable on ours have a horizontal notch line on 2 of each of the nut faces.

It could be just a hubcap that you pry off but I suspect it is the kind that has two lugs holding it on. I would jack that one tire up and take all the lug nuts off, you are bound to find the two that hold it on that way.

Good luck

Cheap ones on our Gulfstream just pry off like a hub cap. Lost one rear so i pulled both rear off. Hope to eventually get the nice bolt on like you described.
