pto on 2005 country coach inspire

power steering went out engine over heated was shown that it is the pto I have c9 engine with Allison transmission the pump is sauer dan foss . would like to replace pto myself has anyone try this all information would be appreciate

  • There is a Country Coach yahoo group where you can find lots of info about the PTO issue on CC's.
  • I have a feeling you are having a problem with the input shaft to the PTO. Country Coach did not use a lube feed to the PTO drive shaft so they end up beating themselves to death. Google PTO shaft failure on COuntry Coach and you will see all sorts of information. Here is one of them:

    Good luck to you. There is a kit available to add trans lube to your PTO. I would advise doing it. I have the same PTO in my Panther but it has the extra lube line. Made sure of that before I bought the motorhome.
