I think you will find that most of the class c motorhomes will have low "CCC" because of all the slide outs. That being said you just need to carry what you really need and keep your tire pressure at the recommended pressure. Also try to fill water tank at camping location instead of hauling all that weight getting there. As for choosing the brand, we have had our Jayco since 2003 and are very well pleased with the quality and service from jayco. The final choice is yours but if you choose redhawk you won't be disappointed. Denny

Thanks for the info. And yes... Id probably only carry enough water to use the toilet... Same thing I did with my travel trailer when I had it. Still batting the idea of a class a... But I really like the way the class c drives. Probably cause I spent so much time towing my travel trailer.. I like the feel of a truck vs a bus.

We have had a Leprachaun for about 3 months. Not a new one but new to us. Our first motorhome. Its an 06 and we have been totally pleased with it. We were looking for one with the cab over bed and only 1 slide. Seemed the Leprachaun had everything we were looking for. It is very clean inside and out and has good tires. The one thing we are having to adjust to is leveling it. Wish it had had the hydralic levelers. Other than that we are "Happy Campers."

You might take a look at a Sunseeker or Forester as well. Similar price range.

As a direct answer to the question as stated: Jayco over Coachmen, every time.

That said, floor plan rules! A "better" coach with the wrong floor plan is not the right coach.

Are you looking at a new unit? If so, go with the unit with the longest warranty.

Hmmm...How the plot thickens....So, I went up and spoke with the guy at the RV store...Good grief, he has a million reasons why I need to buy something else more expensive. smh.
I did find out a 2012 Storm Class A is forsake locally...So I guess I will go check that out. Looks like I might be able to land that guy for 50K. And if good condition....Not a bad deal. The low retail is 63K.
