removing radiator on a 1986 holiday rambler

IT looks like you have to take off the coolers and ac parts and you can remove the radiator from the front, seems like you will have to take off the grill assembly to get a big spot from there. any body done this before. Ya got any pictures of this being done???
  • Yep replaced the radiator about 6 years ago. About 8 hours to pull it and about 6 to put it back in. Was able to zip tie the A/C condenser up so as to not break any of the freon lines. it is quite an undertaking. It did come out the front only on mine.
  • It defiantly comes out the front, after removing a ton of stuff in the way that make it work in the P30 chassis
  • This is about removing a radiator from a 1986 Holiday Rambler, P30, Hydrovac brakes, turbo 400 auto trans, power steering, AC, air pumps deleted, coolers in both sides of the brass and copper 3 core side flow radiator. I will post the pictures in my other link about a 1986 Holiday Rambler restoration found at

From what I can find online, it says you drop down, then out past the cross member after, removing the cooler lines, the fan and shroud, and the coolers mounted on the front. I have found that nothing looks that easy, but will be happy if it is.
It looks like !!Sons of Norway's!! older step sister after a night at the bar right now. From what I can find online a 1990 Georgie boy with a 454 should be about the same thing. Have you changed your radiator yet?
  • IT is removing a radiator from a 1986 Holiday Rambler, P30, with a 454 carbureted motor, turbo 400. it is around 36 feet from bumper to bumper. It looks like !!sons of Norway's!! picture evil step sister right now. I will add the photos to my restoring a holiday rambler section.

  • Well if you do it take pictures. :) Then it will forever be here for anybody to view.
  • Don't have pictures, but you're right about what needs to be done. I had a shop here in Denver do it for me. Good luck with the repair.
