repairing faded decals

I live in sunny New Mexico and the decals on my rv have faded.
Ran into a fellow rver who has the identical rv as I and he spray painted his decals with Krylon Fusion paint for plastic. They looked great after almost 2 years..
Has anyone else done this and what were your results? Thanks for any info.

I spray painted mine but not with Fusion. I tried it and couldn't get a good shine with it. I went to Sherwin Williams paint and bought quarts of the colors, mixed them and shot them with a paint gun. Taping it off is what too the longest because I painted all the lettering on my Tiffin Allegro Bus Roughing It Smoothly,,,,,,,, both sides and front and back. They look like new.
:CNever pass up a chance to go somewhere:C

There are companies now that pin stripe around your old stripes with a special tape that has a string in it (maybe nylon). They apply a new piece of vinyl over the old stripe and then pull the string. It cuts the new vinyl to match the old perfectly. Our friends just had it done to their fifth wheel. It came out really nice.

I was raised just south of Belen and you can paint on the decals but add a coat of clear as your last coat. Make it shine!

I only did the black decals and used Rust-Oleum. Came out pretty well but after four years it's starting to fade a different rates depending on the fiberglass. Looks OK for a 30-30 test (30 feet moving at 30MPH) but I plan to rework the stripes later this year using PPG auto paint. Quart of paint, the associated reducer and hardener cost me $135 (local purchase).

In this pic the fade can been seen. Passenger side get's the bulk of sun when parked.

Also live here and I just clean them off and repaint them. As you know our sun likes to do a lot of damage to things outside.
