Replacing slide room gear
Hi,
I have a broken tooth on a 2005 Fleetwood Revolution passenger slide that needs to be replaced. I doesn't look too tough, but I'm hoping to get some advice about where to get a replacement gear, if the slide should be in or out when doing it, it the slide needs to be supported or lifted, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It looks to me like the shaft the gear is on can be taken off the drive bar to the motor by removing the bolt on the left then somehow pressing out the 2 end pins to free the gear shaft from under the slide. Then pressing out the gear pin to slide it off. Reverse the above with the new gear.
Anyone have any input about this plan? Any suggestions, warnings, ideas appreciated.
