Restore Fiberglass

I have a 6 year old fiberglass class C MotorHome. We live in New Mexico and park it on a pad in the sun. One side looks new, the other side has faded considerably. What can I use to help restore the faded side. Yes, I could back it in and fade the good side. Then they would look alike. I'm too old to climb on top to cover the RV.

Hi--surprised that no one has mentioned Red Max Pro. Do a search and read all the posts from those of us who have used it and how great it makes our rigs look! Red Max Pro is virtually non-existent, but Home Depot carries the ZEP line and I like the "Wet Look" finish. Try it, you'll like it!
I used RMP on mine with good results but mine is 18 years old. The op's MH is only 6 years old, I would try to remove the oxidation first. Once removed wax can be applied every year or so to preserve the finish.

I did the Zep wet look finish and looks like new again for my. 98 Four Winds. Do a search using Zep and method is in a post. Not hard and well worth effort.

A 6 year MH should not be that badly oxidized that it needs painting. I would use a variable speed buffer and a polishing compound and go over the whole MH. Then apply a good wax with the same buffer. It will be a lot of work but it will be worth it. I would wash and scrub the exterior with Bar Keepers Friend first to remove the surface oxidation before using the polishing compound.

If it is that bad, nothing short of painting it is going to remedy the situation.

I've had pretty good luck with this stuff. Being we're parked in Arizona, we get lots of sun damage too. And even if I was younger, I still think those covers are a danger to the person putting them on.
