Despite restrictions at state and US sites, our experience is Don't ask, don't tell. I've camped in numerous sites where the park was "restricted to ???" and have been told "if it fits, you're fine. Try it and see". As long as you're not hanging out into the roads, in the mud, or pushing telephone pole blocks or rocks, no one will bother you. This is our experience in over 250,000 miles of RVing.
